Tamara Mayne is the obsessive fragrance designer who founded the Brooklyn Candle Studio in 2013. Originally from Virginia, Tamara moved to New York City after her studies. Unable to satisfy her creativity after holding positions in finance and technology, she enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2009 to study graphic design. Thanks to a simple kit from a local craft store, she started making candles as gifts for friends and family in 2012 and was quickly immersed in aromatherapy and candle making. Since then, her passion has been to create beautifully packaged natural candles at an affordable price.
