A word from Stephanie
I came across Liam Owen's work in the Goodhood store in London. I immediately fell in love with his work. I find his pieces quite unique and original in today's ceramic landscape. I was desperately looking for incense holders at the time and Liam was offering three different ones. The conical shape was the one I liked the most. I chose it because its shape reminds me of the pyramids. They evoke eternity and immortality. Because of their shape, they are the link between the earth and the sky. A mystical touch doesn't hurt anyone, does it? ;-)
About the brand
Liam Owen is a London-based ceramicist who studied Ceramics at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1997. Twenty years later he’s still in love with this beautiful material. He currently produces wares on commission and sells them in a small collection of stores across the UK.
He creates a variety of satisfyingly simple stoneware homeware forms with his signature speckled two-tone glazes.
Alongside the tableware, he's also continuously working on more sculptural pieces that complement the tableware collection.
